This new Advent composition plays on the language of Psalm 85 – the interplay of peace, justice and righteousness. The texts zooms out to reflect on the deep grief and turmoil experienced by so many who share the earth and the dream of a world where the seed of hope, through just action, might spring up from the ground - - and that peace might kiss the earth. Though it perhaps feels far-off, this is the hopeful posture of Advent.
